You may contact Alliance Eye Clinic to arrange an appointment with Dr Tiew.
A current referral from your GP, optometrist or medical specialist may allow you to claim the relevant Medicare rebate for eligible ophthalmology services. Please provide your referral before or at your appointment, where available.

- Sunglasses, as dilating drops may be used during your visit
If you wear contact lenses, please ask reception when booking if they need to be removed before a planned assessment or measurement.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Your appointment gives Dr Tiew the opportunity to examine your eyes, discuss your symptoms and recommend next steps based on the findings. Your visit may include:
- Vision testing and eye measurements
- Examination of your eyes
- Imaging or further tests related to your eye concern
- Dilating eye drops, where required
- Consultation with Dr Tiew to discuss findings and recommendations
- Follow-up planning, treatment information or further appointments
Dilating Eye Drops and Transport
Dilating drops may be used to examine the inside of your eyes. These drops can temporarily blur your vision and increase sensitivity to light.
Please bring sunglasses to your appointment. If dilation is expected, you may prefer to arrange for someone to accompany you or collect you following your visit.

Alliance Eye Clinic is situated on the first floor with stair access.
Ground-floor consulting can be arranged with prior notice. Please let reception know when booking if you or your child require a ground-floor appointment or have concerns about accessing the consulting rooms.

Alliance Eye Clinic is located above Amcal Chemist and next to MyClinic Prahran on Commercial Road in Prahran, close to South Yarra, Windsor, Armadale, Toorak, St Kilda and surrounding inner Melbourne suburbs.
Parking
Paid parking is available nearby at Prahran Square Car Park, located at 30-40 Izett Street, Prahran. The car park has 500 bays, is open 24 hours and is accessed via Izett Street.
Limited short-term street parking may also be available in surrounding streets. Patients are encouraged to check parking restrictions and allow time to find a space before their appointment.

The closest tram stop is Braille Library/Commercial Road Stop 28, approximately 100 metres from the clinic. This stop is serviced by Route 72.
By train:
Prahran Station is approximately 550 metres from Alliance Eye Clinic and is serviced by the Sandringham Line.
By bus:
Route 604 travels along Commercial Road, with nearby stops including Braille Library/Commercial Road and Prahran Market/Commercial Road.
